Halloween downtown

This year for Halloween my good friend Jess and her family came with us downtown Mount Airy to take the kids trick-or-treating. Peyton loved the fact that if he looked cute, smiled and stuck out his bag that people would give him candy. He even got really good at remembering to say thankyou, or rather signing it. It looks like he is blowing a kiss when he signs thankyou so the ladies were eating it up! It was fun, plus the weather was so nice and sunny. Much better than taking him out at night. Really no point to that anyways!

Peyton attempting to push Griffin around. Griffin is Peyton's buddy Noah's baby.

Here is Peyton and Craig and Noah with his Daddy Ammon walking downtown on Halloween.

These two boys are best friends. They both ask for eachother everyday. Peyton used to call Noah No-No, but can now say Noah. Now he thinks that our backdoor neighbors house that he can now see because it is not covered in leaves, is Noah's house and he says, Hi Noah's house, all the time.

This was as close as we could get to Peyton wearing his batman mask
These two crack me up.
Noah was such a cute little golfer!

Batman!

Peyton was batman for Halloween this year. He actually was going to be a dragon, but he wouldn't wear the costume, then he was going to be elmo, but same thing, so Batman he was. He actually didn't mind wearing this at all. At first he didn't like the sleeves and wouldn't wear the hat, but then he quickly forgot about it.

I think he is the cutest batman around!

Peyton loves pumpkins. He has learned how things are heavy and loves to say "Heavy" while exaggerating how heavy they are. He even says his cheerios are heavy. Silly Boy.

I love how it looks like his is wearing a huge black diaper!

We never got around to carving our pumpkins. Maybe this weekend?

Two cookie monsters

Peyton loves cookie monster a lot. Craig must have been telling people at the bakery this because 2 days in a row, Craig brought home a cookie monster from 2 different ladies at work. Peyton calls him Yum, Yum, Yum and knows that he loves cookies.

The cookie monster that he is playing with on the right is a cookie jar that was filled with home made chocolate chip cookies, which Peyton didn't want to share with anyone. They were his "crackers."

This cookie monster didn't come with any cookies. It was supposed to have some plastic cookies that came with it, so that you can put them in his hand, pull his hand down, then he opens his mouth and says "Me love cookies, yum, yum, yum." Peyton loved this one. We couldn't find anything to give to him as a cookie, but then we found out that a milk cap worked perfect.

Peyton gave cookie monster one of his cookies so he was clapping. Yeah!

He loves his new cookie monsters!

Fall Festival at SciWorks

Today we went to our small children's science museum for their fall festival. We weren't sure we were going to go because it had been raining so much, but then we decided that since it had been raining so much, it might be nice for Peyton to be able to run around a bit.

Craig hadn't been there before, so I think he really enjoyed taking Peyton and seeing all of the neat things. Like digging for Dinosaur bones.
Or drilling for marbles.

They had some dogs that had graduated from obedience school there demonstrating their good behavior. They were really nice dogs. I didn't take a single picture of Peyton with the dogs. He was so funny. He went to each dog and pet them on the head and then went to the next dog. I think he wanted to make sure that he got to pet them all. Some of the dogs had costumes on and he thought that was pretty funny.

They were going to have a hay ride, but with all of the rain it didn't look like they were going to do it. Then about an hour after we got there, they said they would. I am really glad they did because lately Peyton is really addicted to tractors. He loves them. We call all construction equipment and lawnmowers tractors. It is just easier that way. They are doing a lot of construction around town right now, so everywhere we go we get to see tractors, then immediately he asks for more tractors. I just tell him lets look for more, then he stops asking for more. It is funny. Anyways, the hayride was fun. It was a big trailer pulled by a shiny blue tractor. Peyton just kept saying WOW!
Whoops, had my eyes closed. At least we are all in the same picture!

Then we walked around the property where they have a small farm with farm animals. Peyton liked that. They even had a miniature horse that was Peyton's size. He didn't believe me when I told him that it was a horse or Neigh as he calls it and not a dog or ruff ruff as he was calling it. We had a fun day, and Peyton was completely worn out. Mission accomplished.

Ugg. When will I look pregnant and not just fat?!

We went to the doctor!

We had our first ultrasound of our little baby yesterday so we could find out what we were having. When I was pregnant with Peyton, Craig and I had both decided together that we weren't going to find out the sex of our baby, that we were going to keep it a surprise. Which was going to be very hard for me because I love to plan everything out. Not knowing if everything needed to be blue or pink was driving me crazy, but I wanted to be surprised with Craig so it wasn't a problem. Well, when we got into the ultrasound room, Craig says "She isn't going to find out what we are having, but I am." What!!! The ultrasound tech, asked me if that was ok. She said that she would leave that up to me, because it was obvious that we hadn't talked about that before getting into that room. I told her that I didn't care, so I turned my head and she printed out a picture for Craig. It wasn't a very good picture, because Peyton was being very shy, so she couldn't really tell for sure. Well with Peyton they could tell at this point that he had kidney and bladder problems so we were scheduled for another ultrasound at 28 weeks, and at that point, I said, "I need to know what I am having!"
Anyways, now with this baby, I told the ultrasound tech, that Craig wasn't allowed to know what we were having, but that I was going to find out. She just laughed. She remembered us from last time. Then I told her that I was just kidding.
Well, I will keep you in suspense a little bit longer! Hah! We found out that this baby's kidneys and bladder are both the correct size and seem to be functioning perfect, so that was a relief! The baby had the hiccups and was moving all over the place it was cute. Peyton loved watching the baby on the screen opening its fist and showing off 5 beautiful fingers. It was really neat. Oh, so Peyton is going to be having a little brother! Craig says he must be a boy maker! I was fine with either a girl or a boy. It didn't matter to me. I say this knowing that hopefully I will be having 2 more children, and I know that I won't be saying that it didn't matter when I am pregnant with baby #4 and still not having a girl! So, with 2 sad grandmas, and one sad Daddy (Craig really wanted a girl) we are having a healthy little boy! I am sure that Peyton is going to love his little brother and I am going to love having another Momma's boy!

Bubble bath time

With the new baby on the way, it was time for Craig to take over some of the parental duties. So, the first thing that he inherited is bath time. I actually love giving Peyton baths, but it is getting harder to bend over to get to the bath tub, and who am I kidding, its going to get even harder. So, Craig is now the official bath giver in our house. Peyton loves his new and improved bath time because Daddy does bubbles. I just didn't like to clean them up, so Peyton didn't get them. Here are some pictures of a really happy boy during bath time.

Primary Activity

I am the primary president for our small ward, and we planned a pumpkin festival for our kids. We actually had about 20 kids there, but I didn't get a picture before they all disappeared. We had a lot of fun. It was a lot of work and planning, but it all paid off because the kids had a really good time. We had about 50 pumpkins donated to us, so the kids painted pumpkins and then got to take these extra pumpkins home. We also made pumpkin cookies, played some pumpkin games, and ate lunch. It was a lot of fun. Oh, and Peyton got to stay home with Daddy, so that was nice for me!

Nap time

This is how we looked watching conference on Sunday!

Not my favorite picture of me, but I just put this up to say "What am I, everyone's pillow?" This is usually how I look though. Except I am missing one cat. Spartacus is usually on the top of the recliner. I don't know what it is, but everyone just follows me around and expects a snuggle. Fine with me! Peyton was having a rough time and just needed some snuggles, then he was out.

Mowing the lawn with Daddy

Peyton gets all excited when he hears a lawn mower outside. He always thinks that it is Daddy. Well, this time it was. Peyton loves to watch Craig mow the lawn and sometimes Craig even lets him help. I think it is really cute. They both had a nice time. Not too bad for a chore.

Peyton had fun grabbing the branches of our tree as they went under it!

I just love these boys!

Momma...bug!

After Peyton's nap he likes to go outside and play a while. So today we headed out and got the mail and the newspaper like we always do. Then I sat in the chair while Peyton played on the other side of the porch and started to look through my junk mail. He comes running back to me and tells me "Momma...Bug!" Which he does all of the time. He doesn't like any kind of bug and wants me to get rid of it. I thought he was telling me that there was an ant or something small until I saw this thing. It was in his empty swimming pool, where we have been collecting the small rocks from his sandbox. This bug was huge. I tossed a quarter over by it so that the picture could show how big it was. I decided it wasn't a spider because it only had 6 legs, but still bad enough. I didn't kill it, but I tossed it pretty far out into the yard, so I hope it doesn't come back.

Sesame Street

Peyton loves to watch Sesame street, mostly because of Elmo, but he also likes Cookie Monster. He says Yum, Yum, Yum, when he sees him!

This is Peyton waiting patiently for sesame street to start. He doesn't watch anything else on the TV except Sesame street, which I started to record for him on our DVR because it comes on when I am at my water aerobics class. Then when we get home he can watch it. Plus if he cries to watch it again, then no problem.

Once it started Peyton jumped down from the couch and started to intently watch it.

As you can see he has too much energy to just sit and watch, but he can do his acrobatics and still watch the TV at the same time. Now that is skill.

I wish I would do this. Maybe burn calories while watching tv instead of just sitting there!

Like my new necklace?

Peyton made me this nice necklace and he insisted on me wearing it.

Notice how all of the colors go together? Peyton is very particular about this. I took it apart and put all the colors in random order and he got mad and redid it all. He does the same things with his giant legos. I need to take a picture of all his color synchronized towers.

Here he is constructing the necklace. He kept having problems with it popping apart, but he was so proud of himself when he got it to stay.

Then he could wear it.

Whoops! It came apart.
