I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home

...glad as I can be....

Peyton gets so excited when Craig comes home. He hears the garage door go up, (which is under our house, the garage is half of our basement), and he always runs to the basement door to wait for Daddy to come in the door. He used to hide and have Craig come find him, but now he can't wait for Craig to come, so he usually just waits at the door.

This is Craig's favorite part of being a Dad. I don't blame him.

36 weeks

Yep, getting bigger all the time. I am now going to the doctor everyweek, and we have been working on preparing Peyton for his new baby brother. I'm not sure how much he really understands, but I guess in a few weeks he will know what we have been talking about. When I ask him where Momma's baby is, he points to my stomach, and if you ask him where Peyton's baby or Peyton's baby brother is, he always lifts up his shirt and says "Right here!"

Snow!!!!

It has finally snowed! First time this winter and really the first time that Peyton has been able to play in it. It snowed when he was 1 and we went sledding, but I don't think he really knew what we were playing in, so this was an exciting few minutes for us. As usual, the snow melted way to fast. (But really, we didn't have much to begin with).

Oh, a funny note, this huge snow storm cancelled school for the kids in town!

Peyton was so excited for the snow. We don't even have snowpants for him or boots, so lots of layers were what wored the best.

Peyton had to take his glove off to get the full effect of how cold the snow was.
He had fun picking up the snow and throwing it off the deck.
Craig showing him how to make a snowball.

Peyton didn't want to pose with me. I think he thought I was trying to get him so that we could go inside.

Professional Photos

I had been waiting for Craig to get a Saturday off so that we could go and get Peyton's 2 year-old pictures taken, and this Saturday he was off. We called and were luckily able to get in the same day. I would have rather had a morning appointment, but surprisingly enough, Peyton took an early nap and was ready to go for our 3:30 appointment. Once we got to the studio, we quickly realized that they were running late and that it was going to be a while until it was our turn. Peyton was such a good little boy to wait the long hour for his pictures. He was getting a little slap happy towards the end and Craig and I both knew what was coming next. Total Meltdown!!! Luckily he was still in slap happy stage for the pictures and they turned out really cute. Total meltdown came at the computer when we were picking out our pictures. Not too bad though. We got so many good pictures that it was really hard to narrow them down. I wanted to post a lot of them here, and I really love these new collages that Picasa does, so here are most of his pictures that we had taken. It is so hard to believe my baby is 2 and is really growing into a little boy! Where has the time gone!

I was surprised with him in constant motion that she was able to get some good pictures of Peyton. She had a stuffed cow that she kept throwing at him and he would throw it back to her.

Peyton liked sitting by this block. She tried to make him stand on it, but for some reason, he wouldn't do it.

My favorites are always the profile shots with the black background.

I wasn't sure how these would turn out when the photographer suggested putting a tie and hat on Peyton. I really thought he would just throw the hat off. I knew the tie would be a hit as he insists on wearing a tie to church every Sunday, like Daddy, no matter if it matches or not, but these pictures were super cute. Especially as a collection like this!

Peyton goes to work

Lately Peyton has been talking a lot about going to work to make more bread. He now goes and sits in his school bus and pretends to drive it to work, to make more bread! It is really cute.

6 weeks left to go!

Yeah! I am excited that I only have 6 weeks left in this pregnancy. I am really starting to have a hard time breathing and my back is really starting to hurt, so I am excited to only have 6 weeks left. I think I can manage that!
