Last warm days outside

Jackson is finally sitting up really well. Besides the occasional spill sideways or backwards, he does pretty well. Peyton loves it. The only problem is now Peyton thinks that Jackson is bigger than he really is an starts to wrestle with him, which always leads to tears. For the most part they play real well together and always want to be near each other. I hope it stays that way.
We had a nice day outside today, in the upper 70s, and I figured it might be the last for a while, so we headed outside.
Peyton is your typical boy that finds sticks, rocks, and dirt anywhere he goes. Lately he has been pretending that sticks are either guns or knives. I can thank his dad for that.

Here is Jackson enjoying the grass. He is looking at Peyton, and that is why he has a smile on his face. Peyton can get him to smile or laugh at him, just by being near. I think Jackson loves that Peyton is always moving and making some kind of crazy sound. Whenever Jackson laughs, Peyton says "He's funny." I think he means, "He's laughing", but he always says funny instead.
I am so in love with this little boy. I call him my little angel.
And why wouldn't he be my little angel with a smile like this?
Peyton and Jackson seem like they are going to be best friends. Peyton is constantly right next to Jackson and is always wanting to play with him. Lately, because Jackson has gotten pretty good at sitting up Peyton has been trying to play with him more, but ends up knocking him over. Not too cool with our hardwood floors. It was much better outside.
Peyton has been wanting to hold Jackson lately too, and he is always holding his hand. Especially when we are in the car.
I can't believe how much my baby has grown. Here he is looking at Peyton.
Poor Peyton got stung by a mosquito right between the eyes while we were outside!

Fun at the park

We had a play group at the park today and Craig had the day off, so he got to go with us. It was awesome. I got the chance to feed Jackson without worring about Peyton, plus 2 other dads were there as well, so Craig had some men to talk to and us moms got a chance to actually talk without worrying about the kids. It was fun and much needed.

Here is Peyton along with Genevieve and Isaac. This was Peytons first time on the tire swing and he was't really sure about it, but wasn't going to not give into to the peer pressure.

Look at his scared face!

Jackson had a great time chilling in his stroller.

Just a little bit of Jackson being cute!

Jackson and Peyton

Gotta love these boys! They keep me busy and a little ragged sometimes, but they are just so cute and sweet that I try to ignore how tired I am and how much they drive me crazy sometimes.

Jackson is a Momma's boy for sure.

Who am I kidding, Peyton is too. He is actually a self proclaimed Momma's boy. When Jackson was a few months old, I was feeding him in the middle of the night in my bed and I have a baby monitor in Peyton's room with the speaker in our room. Well out of nowhere, in his sleep, Peyton yells out. No! Momma's boy. It was so funny. Jackson had woken Craig up so he was awake when Peyton said that in his sleep. We still joke about that.

Ladies, he's mine!

The boy loves to bounce!

New posts

Hey everyone, I am incredibly behind on my blog, but I have been trying to catch up. I like to cheat and change the date of the actual post to the date that I would have posted it if I had done so in a timely matter, so feel free to scroll down even if you have seen some of my postings, because I have tons of new ones back in April and May and on. LOL.

big and strong

Peyton and I found this huge DEAD bug on the deck today. I am so glad that it was dead, because it was huge.

I said to Peyton. "That is a really big bug isn't it"
He replys "Yeah, its big and Strong" Then he says "Like me! You know that?"
("you know that?" is his new favorite saying. I guess I must say that a lot...you know that?)

I pulled up this page to show Peyton the other day and he said "theres that big bug. It is so strong. It has big muscles." Too funny.

Here is my big and strong boy in his new John Deere tractor shirt. Jackson has one too, but I didn't get a picture of him in it yet.

5 months old today

WOW!! Jackson is already 5 months old. I know I keep saying this, but really where has the time gone?

I have been taking Jackson's picture every month in the same chair, with the same rooster so that we can tell how big he is getting and how much he has changed.

Jackson and Peyton.

What?

Me and my buddy. I am having quite the bad hair day, but that is ok.

Silly Peyton.

Jackson loves this chair.

What a cutie!

New Suit!

A few weekends ago we went shopping and Craig got his first suit ever! He was so proud of it. I just had to get a picture of him with the boys. They just looked so handsome. We picked up a new suit for both Peyton and Jackson as well, but it was in the 90s so I figured they could wait to wear them. I just love these boys and am so happy they are in my life. Seeing Craig in this suit makes me think back to the handsome tux he wore at our wedding 9 years ago. Oh, happy days!

Our 9th Wedding Anniversary

Wow! How the time has flown since this day 9 years ago. Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. It is had to believe that 9 years ago Craig and I were married in the Denver LDS temple for time and all eternity. I thought that for our anniversary I would write down 9 things that I love about Craig.

1. I love that you are a wonderful father, that you love reading book after book to Peyton at night, that you even sing to some of the books. I love that you make up silly songs to sing to Jackson when he is sad. I think that is cute.
2. I love that you are a caring husband. You have been such a blessing to me, always helping me and caring for me (sometimes even without prompting:0)
3. I love that you hold the priesthood and that you are a humble servant to the Lord. For a while I didn't think I could find the perfect guy to take me to the temple, until I met you and I knew you were the one.
4. I love how you call me in the middle of the day just to tell me how much you love me.
5. I love how you are always thinking of me and that you always tell me I am beautiful.
6. I love that you like to watch chick flicks with me and that you let me pick the movies that we go to.
7. I love how you let me warm my cold feet on you at night, with minimal complaining.
8. I love how you love to snuggle.
9. I love how you try to like all of my cooking and don't give me a hard time about something that doesn't come out right. We both know that can be a challenge.

Craig, I love you and can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Thank you for the 2 beautiful, I mean handsome, boys that you have given to me.

Love, Lisa

Spiders and Giraffes

I have a quick Peyton-ism to share before I forget.
So Peyton was running outside and he fell down and skinned his knee. Well, a few days later while I was changing him, he showed me his skinned up knee and I asked him what happened to see what he would say, and this was his response.

Peyton: "A spider pushed me down."
Me: "He did. That wasn't nice of him."
Peyton: "Yeah, and a giraffe bite me too. You know that?"

Too funny. The imagination on this kid cracks me up!

My favorites

Here are some of my favorite shots from yesterday. Peyton and Jackson did such a great job getting their pictures taken. They both were in such good moods and as long as we could keep Peyton's attention, he did great. As you can tell Jackson has discovered his tongue recently. I am thinking that for a few weeks now, most of his smiles are with his long tongue sticking out, along with baby slobber. These will be great memories!

I love my boys!

Jackson. Can't believe that he is already 4 1/2 months old.

Peyton is 2 1/2.

Jackson and Peyton.

Too sweet! Peyton really loves his brother. This one wasn't even posed. This is just naturally Peyton and Jackson.
This one was our favorite of both boys.

This one makes Peyton look so grown up!

This one made us crack up!

Peyton loved this radio flyer car.
He kept wanting to drive it though, so it was a bit challenging to photogragh.
We even managed to get a shot of both boys on the car. I think Peyton was nervous about having Jackson on there with him. Jackson wasn't holding on he kept saying!
