Today was a little boys dream day! We went to an Easter Egg hunt in a town that is close by for an Easter Egg hunt. It was Peyton's first egg hunt so before we headed over I had Craig take Peyton out to the front yard and practice finding eggs. Our neighbor walked by and told Craig that we were cheating. I didn't think so though. Turns out that it didn't help much anyways! Today the weather was nice, but incredibly windy. I had Jackson bundled up in his stroller and he slept the entire time we were here, right up to when it was time to leave.

Here are some pictures from the hunt. It was in a baseball field and they had it separated into age groups and Peyton was in the 0-4 group. I liked the fact that it was a baseball field and that the kids all were in a circle surrounding the field and the eggs were spread out in the middle. So basically went the horn sounded each kid had tons of eggs straight in front of them and there weren't any mad rushes to get the eggs. Peyton ran out and grabbed 2 or 3 eggs, but then one of the eggs he found was opened so he got a little side tracked. The egg turned out to be the perfect shovel, so instead of getting more eggs, Peyton spent the rest of the time shovelling the sand into his bucket. I threw in a few eggs that were around him, so he ended up with about 10 eggs.

After the hunt, we went over to check out the different fire trucks that they had. Peyton loves firetrucks, like any boy does. They have a little firetruck, Freddie, that they have a headset and remote control for and it talks to the kids. Peyton loved watching it. In my picture it is the top middle picture. Well, we were about 25 feet away from Freddie when Peyton decided he wanted to ride it. So he ran over to it and jumped on. I had the camera on so I snapped a quick picture while Craig went and grabbed him off. It was funny. We went over to another fire truck and they let Peyton climb into the drivers seat and pretend to drive. He got to pull the air horn, and he even put on the seat belt and the drivers sunglasses. It was fun for him.

You have to see all the pictures in this collage too. They are too cute to miss!
The tractors were probably Peyton's favorite part of the day. He has never gotten to actually sit in the drivers seat of a tractor, so once he was on here, he didn't want to get off. He pushed all the buttons, pulled all the levers for about 15 minutes. It was fun watching him get so excited about a tractor.
Once we got home, I realized that me and Jackson aren't in any of the pictures. Jackson was bundled up in his stroller asleep and I didn't want to wake him up with the wind, so that is why he isn't in any and I guess I was just the photographer. I need to get better about being in pictures!

Side note, I put this outfit on Jackson, only to realize that it looked like he was wearing capris. Peyton wore this when he was 3 weeks old an wore it a few times after that so I know it didn't shrink in the wash. Jackson is only 2 weeks old, but seems to have super long legs. Hmm, wonder where he got those from?
