Playing outside

When Craig came home from work today, we were playing outside. I think we have major spring fever.

Jackson was wide awake and loved snuggling with his daddy.

I love how Jackson is looking at Craig in this picture.

Ah, how sweet!

Peyton's friend Noah came over to play for a while while his parents went on a date, so they as usual played hard in the sand box.

Another Easter Egg Hunt

We have a play group at our church twice a month and today we had an Easter Egg hunt. Peyton had already practiced so he was a pro. The kids first made a really cute bag to collect their eggs, then the search was on. Peyton was so sweet and kept sharing his eggs with all of his friends.

Here is Peyton giving Noah his egg. He was saying "Here you go!"

Running for more eggs.

No more dinosaurs!

Peyton's favorite Dinosaurs are leaving our local museum, so it was time to visit one last time. This time we went with our playgroup from church. We all loaded up our kids and off to the dinosaurs we went. As we were pulling up, I groaned at the sight of all the school buses in the parking lot, but Peyton cheered at the sight of the building that he knew had his dinosaurs in them. He said "Dinosaurs Roar! Yeah". It actually was a really fun day and the school groups went through the museum really fast so it didn't seem that crowded.

Peyton loves playing with this big stuffed dinosaur. He would lift it up and say roar, but I couldn't get a picture. He is going to be so sad the next time we go back and find that a new less exciting (for him) exhibit is there.

They have this section for little kids that is usually packed and Peyton had this all to him self. He enjoyed taking all the food off the shelves and "shopped" for quite a long time before he had to share with anyone.

We had to talk about pretending to bite the food. He kept saying Pie, yum, yum then proceeding to try and eat it. By the time he was done playing with the play food, I think he understood pretend eating!

Here he is working the cash register.
Peyton and Joseph loved rocking on this boat!

Peyton's favorite piano.

Eww! This giant snake was shedding its skin. It was so gross. My friends and I were fascinated by it though. I think we watched it for like 5 minutes all while saying eww, that's so disgusting, yet we couldn't stop watching it. I don't think that I have ever actually seen a snake shed its skin before. He had a huge chunk of skin still on his nose. Yuck! I got a video of this as well!
Here is Joseph, Peyton, and Noah. Joseph is 4 1/2 months older and Noah is 4 months older. I think Peyton out weighs them both by at least 5 or 6 pounds, and is taller too. These boys play so well together and loved this museum.
Plus it was fun to get out of the house and hang out with my friends and let our children run wild. Afterwards, I headed over to Once Upon a Child, and Babies-R-Us, and then we headed home. I thought that Peyton would be exhausted and take an awesome nap, but he wouldn't. He kept blowing raspberries, and smacking himself in the face on the 40 minute car ride home. Silly boy! Maybe early bedtime!

Baby, Baby, Baby

Both of my friends have newborn babies right now and Peyton loves them. He talks about babies all the time. Well, we were at my friend Jess' house for her son Noah's 2nd birthday and Peyton was totally interested in what baby Griffin was doing. He really wanted to hold Griffin, so I helped him. Peyton was so cute. He gave him kisses and hugs, and reallly loved being so close to him. I had to be careful because when Peyton was done with Griffin, he started to push him away. Just like what he does to the cats. Whoops!

Here is Peyton really checking Griffin out.

Too cute

Another playmate for Peyton!

This time my other friend's little boy Noah came to play with Peyton. His mom and dad bought a new house and they are doing some work to it, and poor Noah isn't much help, so he came to keep Peyton company. Noah and Peyton had a really good time together. I feel like we are pretty predictable with our activites. Same sand box, playing with trucks and bubbles, but this time we also went on a walk!

Peyton and Noah in the sandbox.

Notice each boy has a bucket and a shovel. Very important!

Noah was funny. He liked to dump the sand on his leg, but then he would quickly wipe it off!

They had such a good time in the sand!

Trucks and a walk

Boys love trucks. I wonder why that is. It is like it is engrained in them to like cars and trucks and not dolls.

Yeah, I know, why do I have a double stroller with only 1 child. Well, for this reason! I love to go on walks, and it was nice to be able to take both boys. Yeah, Craig was with me, so we could have easily taken both our regular strollers, but this was better. I told Craig that if someone didn't know us, they would think that these boys were twins (they are really 4 1/2 months apart) and that the blonde took after me and the brunette took after Craig!

Look at Peyton's face. He is like, what happened to my walk?!?

Two cute boys. Peyton's smile reminds me of the little boy in Jungle Book, Mowgli I think his name is.

Just playin'

Ok. So this post is finally fixed. Who knows why some pictures don't work out, but here it is in working order. Jess, enjoy your nanny cam!

Peyton really rocks well on his rocking dog. Joseph taught him how to rock the right way last week. Peyton was just trying to rock to quick and wasn't really moving much.

Not a good picture of Noah, but it was funny. He gathered up all the trucks and didn't want to let Peyton have them. He finally settled on two of them and wouldn't let go of them the rest of the night. Silly boy!

Noah loves bubbles. Peyton just wants the wand. He isn't really into the bubbles anymore.

They did try to "catch" bubbles for quite a while.

A playmate for Peyton

We watched my friend's little boy, Joseph, last night and Peyton had a blast. It was so nice for Peyton to have someone to play with. Peyton has such a limited attention span, that he is constantly moving and playing with so many things, that it is hard to keep him occupied sometimes. With Joseph here, they played for about an hour on the porch. (We had a ton of rain right before Joseph came over so the grass was wet) Usually Peyton plays on the porch for about 5 minutes before moving onto something else. It was nice to just sit and watch them play. They play so well together.

It was a good thing that we have several big trucks to play with, or we would have had a cryfest. Peyton doesn't share real well. Probably because he doesn't have to!

The funny thing is Peyton really hasn't rocked on his dog rocker much, but Joseph liked it, so of course he wanted to play on it too.

They had fun with the bubbles.

They shared real well, up until they were both tired.
Later when we all went inside, Peyton and Joseph were trying to share Peyton's Elmo chair. Joseph sat in it for a while, then Peyton sat in it. Well, Joseph noticed and said "No Fair!" It was so cute. It made Craig and I crack up. Can you tell that Joseph has 2 older sisters!
