Craig's brother, Clint, his wife Denise, and their 3 girls Taylor (13), Kylee (9), and Addie (4) came to visit us, so since we live only 5 hours from Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, so we decided that after living here for 2 years it was time to make the trek East and see the ocean. All I have to say is WOW! I can't believe that we hadn't been there sooner. We went for only one night, but still managed to cram a lot into those two days (including the five hour drive each direction). The beach was magnificent! The last beach that we went to on the Atlantic Ocean was Daytona beach and it was so dirty and the sand really was awful, so it was such a nice surprise that this was such a clean beautiful beach and that the water was also really clear. I really don't like to swim in the ocean much, but I like to see it. I really don't like the taste of salt water, and I guess I am a little afraid of the big waves, so when I go to the ocean, I usually go in for a few minutes, then retreat to the pool. Luckily for Peyton I am that way, because he really didn't like the ocean at all. I think the water scared him. Craig tried taking him out a bit, but he didn't want much to do with it. He did however love the GIANT sand box. This kid loves to play in the sand. I brought a huge bag of sand toys to play with and Peyton played and played. He really loved playing "Godzilla" as Craig would put it. We would build something and he would immediately destroy it and laugh about it. It was fun. The hotel had an awesome indoor lazy river. After the ocean we all rinsed the sand off and found the lazy river. It was so warm and relaxing. Peyton loved riding around on the tube on while sitting on my lap. He actually almost fell asleep. After swimming, we went to dinner to an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet. I don't like seafood at all, so I was a little nervous that I would really be wasting my money to go to a seafood buffet, but they had a ton of yummy non seafood there. Peyton ate about a million green beans, olives, and chicken.

This was the awesome view out of our window. I didn't even request an oceanview room!

Peyton wasn't really enthused to have his picture taken.

We were on the 14th floor!

Me and Peyton.

This was our attempt to take our own family picture. It turned out really dark, and didn't look much better when lightened. Oh well.

Craig and Peyton.

Peyton acting like a beached whale. He was getting tired.

Here we are in the lazy river. I didn't realize until later, that my camera had a huge smudge on the lens, probably from my little assistant!

Whoa, that beach looks incredible in these few pictures. I'm sure in real life, it is even more awesome. I'm so glad you got to take this adventure away together. It's funny how we often don't do the things we always wanted to until guests show up! Looks so fun!
