Yep, today is my due date and I am still pregnant. At this point, I feel like I need suspenders to hold my stomach up. I have dropped so low, yet this baby still doesn't want to come. I am praying that I go into labor soon. I am really looking forward to meeting this little baby.

40 Weeks!

39 weeks
Just a little update. I am still waiting patiently for this baby to come. I was positive that I was going to deliver him this last week, and when I went to the doctor on Friday I found out that I am only dilated to a 1. Darn. My doctor told me not to get discouraged because my body knows what it is doing and the baby will come when my body is ready. I just wonder why my brain isn't telling my body that it is ready. Come on, free ride is over. Lets get this done!
That being said, I really am doing just fine. I am still going to water aerobics 3-4 times a week and keeping up with Peyton. My water aerobics friends all say that I had better not have the baby in the water, so they watch me pretty carefully.
I am just looking forward to the next stage of motherhood...having 2 little boys! I can't wait.

38 weeks
Yep, still pregnant! I had my 38 week checkup this week and I have to tell you, my blood pressure has been elevated the last few weeks and I have been feeling pretty crappy, but the last few days haven't been that bad. When I went to the doctor on Friday, my blood pressure was back down to pretty much where it is supposed to be. I totally noticed a difference. Plus the baby has dropped so I feel like I can breathe again. The only problem now is that he is turned so that his feet are kicking my kidneys all the time. I asked the doctor if it was possible to get kicked so hard that I would have internal bleeding. He just laughed and said, I hope not!
I have been having regular contractions everyday, but they are never close enough to do anything about. These have been different than anything that I felt with Peyton. Either it is because I have now experienced contractions and know what they feel like or they really are stronger contractions. They really are hard to miss.
So for now, I just hang out in my recliner with my bowl of ice cream sitting on my "table" and enjoy the last few weeks of feeling this little guy move around and wonder what he is going to look like. Will he be blonde hair, blue eyed, like me or will he look like Peyton, who is a miniture Craig?

36 weeks
Yep, getting bigger all the time. I am now going to the doctor everyweek, and we have been working on preparing Peyton for his new baby brother. I'm not sure how much he really understands, but I guess in a few weeks he will know what we have been talking about. When I ask him where Momma's baby is, he points to my stomach, and if you ask him where Peyton's baby or Peyton's baby brother is, he always lifts up his shirt and says "Right here!"

32 weeks
Yeah! 32 weeks for some reason seems like a milestone. Don't know why, but maybe it is because I am just 2 months away from becoming unpregnant! Craig swears that I am as big now as I was when I was just about ready to deliver Peyton. Hmmm. He thinks I am having a 9 pound baby. Peyton was 8 lbs 6oz. Big enough for me!
So here I am being crazy. I decided to make this post really interesting by pulling out my last pregnancy photos for comparison. Hmm....I know, most women don't like pregnancy pictures taken and here I am analyzing them. Just trying to figure out what I am in for!

This is me currently...

and this is me with Peyton at the same stage.

And here I am in the same sweater at 39.5 weeks!
Hmm... interesting!

28 week check up
I went to the doctor for my 28 week checkup. This is the fun visit where they make you fast and then drink the orange syrup and make you sit there for an hour so that they draw blood for checking glucose levels. Peyton had fun running around the office, which amazingly wasn't crowded. Then they told me that I could go to the hospital for my Rogam shot since I am RH negative. I decided to do this another day, since there was going to be more blood drawn and more waiting involved and Peyton wasn't going to be able to handle anymore behaving! Anyways, the baby is growing fast and everything seems to be on track. I have started to have consistant contractions everyday (only a few times a day), but they make me stop what I am doing and slow down. The one thing that is totally different from when I was pregnant with Peyton is that this baby has the hiccups all the time. It is crazy. I usually feel them low in my cervix, which is totally weird. I also don't have as much heartburn as with Peyton. Does this mean that he will be a blond-headed baldie like me? Hmm.
Here is what happened at the end of this crazy day.
Peyton has started fighting naps and then is totally worn out by the end of the day. He sat in his tipped over chair and crashed asleep about 7:00 pm. Silly boy!

21 weeks prego
I am probably one of the rare women that actually like having pictures taken of me while I am pregnant. To me, although pregnancy isn't at all fun, I actually feel really feminine while I am pregnant. I guess it is because I am so tall. I am 6'2" and not at all petite, so I guess being pregnant and looking pregnant makes me feel like a W-O-M-A-N! Hah! Anyways, here is a shot of me 21 weeks pregnant, and of course my buddy is right next to me.
