Just in case anyone was checking for some good news, I am still waiting for it myself. I have not gone into labor yet. I am still patiently and not so patiently waiting.
Yesterday, while making some chicken nuggets and french fries for me and Peyton, I tried to put myself into labor. I usually make our nuggets in the toaster oven, but I decided I wanted to cook them in the oven instead. So, I preheated the oven to 450 degrees and set the timer for 20 minutes. Well, Peyton loves to close the latch on the oven (the one used for self-cleaning) and for the second time, it got stuck. Last time, Craig was able to get it opened, but this time he was at work. I called him and he talked me through what I needed to do to get it opened, but it was not working. It consisted of putting a butter knife down one side of the oven door and pushing in a little button, while pushing the door in with my hip and then wiggling the handle. All while the oven is really hot. I also had been cooking some broccoli on top of the stove, so this was hot as well. I had turned the oven off, but it was still really warm. Oh, and my shadow, had a butter knife of his own working on the other side. Well, after 10 minutes it still didn't work. I hung up with Craig because he really didn't have time to listen to me complain on the phone about our dang oven. I was hot and crying and decided it was time to pray. I know that should have been the first thing, but I wasn't thinking. Well, once I said a prayer, I went over to the oven, and the latch moved like there wasn't a problem at all. Thank you Heavenly Father. I know this wasn't a horrible life or death experience, but to me in my hormonal stage, it was. The chicken and french fries were still yummy, and I didn't put myself into labor. Dang.
I plan on going for a walk today. It is the first time in the last several days, that it has not been raining.
I will keep everyone posted on when this baby comes. I guess if I haven't updated my blog it means that I have had him!
